You only turn 9 once.  When it's your first ever birthday party, why not extend it to two days with twins and have two cakes? This one was very quick!

Being the mother of twins has many benefits - like learning to speed decorate!  The morning assembly at Bridge Point was very moving.  I found this photo on google afterwards, loved the history in it, and ... had to do the cakes!  They were started from scratch at 9:30 and delivered by 1:30.  Next year I'll be ready!

Our kids often hear, "No, you can't".  They look forward to my "mess-up's" as they know they CAN eat those.  I was happy to leave this surprise on the counter for when they come in from school.  The kids' favorite is a simple, simple yellow cake with chocolate icing.  No problem!

This cake was presented to Will in Mrs. McLaughlin's 2nd grade class in 2007 for a celebration party.  He won the school's Science Day logo contest at Bridge Point Elementary and was in Laurel's class.  It was her idea to put his winning picture on a cake.  Sweet idea!
